Electricians who work on commercial buildings must provide the electrical needs of the tenants as well as ensure that the ventilation, cooling, and heating system of the building is working at optimum levels.

• You would start with education. At least high school education in a related field is required to qualify as a commercial electrician. You also need to get your GED certificate to stand among equals.
