South of Cebu City is a well-known destination for the likes of travelers and extreme adventurers. South provinces of Cebu have so many beautiful places ranging from historical, beaches, nature and many more to beautiful places to unwind and relax. 

Two of the most popular and visited place in the South of Cebu is Oslob for its Whale Shark Watching and Badian for its famous waterfall and canyoning site Kawasan. Whale Shark and Kawasan Falls is one the most favorite place to visit by the locals and foreign travelers because of its one-of-a-kind beauty of nature and the gentle giants that Oslob has to offer. These two most sought places by the travelers and bloggers are just one of the beautiful places in the South. 

Whale Shark Watching in Oslob is very popular due to the very reason that the Whale Sharks are always there unlike in Donsol Sorsogon where you cannot always have the chance to see those gentle giants. The Whale Sharks in Oslob have been there for almost 7 years now and since then, they have stayed there until now. And ever since the news came out that there’s a bunch of Whale Sharks in Oslob, a lot of tourists are visiting the site. A lot of travel bloggers have been featuring the Whale Sharks in Oslob due to the very awesome experience wherein you can swim with those gentle giants together but you can’t touch them or get near them in order to keep them safe and away from danger. 

And for the famous waterfalls in the country which is Kawasan Falls, a lot of tourists are coming to Badian also since the said waterfalls has a lot more to offer other than the magnificent falls. You can do canyoning activity upstream since the falls is a three-layered waterfall and you can do trekking and canyoning near the falls. Just a reminder though that the canyoning activity isn’t for everybody since the trail is not that easy to walk and jump. This kind of activity are highly recommended to those who are physically fit and an extreme adventurist. 

Aside from these two popular places to visit South of Cebu, there’s still a lot more places to visit just South of Cebu too. Technically, Whale Shark and Kawasan Falls isn’t the only popular place to visit in the South. There’s Chicharon and Letchon in Carcar, Osmeña Peak in Dalaguete, Tingko Beach in Alcoy, Mantayupan Falls in Barili, Panagsama Beach and Pescador Island in Moalboal (good for snorkelling and scuba diving), Trekking at Mt. Lanaya, Montañeza Falls in Malabuyoc (good for trekking and climbing), Inambakan Falls in Ginatilan and a lot more municipaltiy that has so many and a famous place to visit.
